How to use the cable selection chart

Calculate the total length of cable needed by adding the depth of the borehole to the distance from the borehole to the controller.

Total Length of Cable (m) = Depth of the borehole (m) + Distance from borehole to Controller (m)

Use the relevant table below to select the correct cable size.

For example if you are using a 0.37KW 220V Pump, then according to the 220V Cable Selection Chart below you will be able to use 1.5mm² cable up to 120m. If the total length of cable required exceeds 120m you must then take 2.5mm² cable or higher.
